Kidney Checkup

Virological laboratory tests: CMV, herpes, EBV, hantavirus, and hepatitis serology, etc.

Urinanalysis

Microbiological examination of urine in cooperation with the urology practice and laboratory of Dr. S. Otto.

Quantification of proteinuria and albuminuria in spontaneous and 24-hour urine, albumin and protein/creatinine ratio.

Urine electrophoresis for qualitative determination of protein.

Rapid urine test, semi-quantitative, automated, performed on site.

Urine sediment: Microscopy of urine to search for cells and casts (in SLE) and crystals (uric acid and oxalate in crystallopathies).

New markers for prognosis in chronic renal failure: Dickkopf-3 (DDK-3).
